Interior Access
All portrait and commercial photography sessions require an approved reservation at least 72 hours prior to arrival.
Light stands, reflect boards, and props must stay on designated stone pavers or hardscape without disturbing vintage floral beds.
Indoor photography is restricted to designated historical rooms specified in your photography permit to respect scheduled events.

Professional photography sessions are available by appointment throughout the year, subject to venue availability.
Professional Photography Sessions
Blanton House welcomes professional photography for all special ocassions from lifestyle photography, to prom and formal portraits.
A one-hour minimum applies. All professional photography sessions must be scheduled and approved in advance. Photography access is subject to venue and event availability.
Complimentary Photography for Our Local Community
Blanton House is proud to be part of the Marion community, and we love seeing our historic home and gardens enjoyed by our local neighbors.
Local residents are welcome to use the property for casual, non-professional personal photography at no charge, subject to availability.
We simply ask that you contact Blanton House in advance to coordinate a date and time with us. Because we are an active wedding and event venue, walk-in and unscheduled photography sessions are not permitted, even for complimentary personal photography.
Complimentary photography access is intended for casual personal photos taken by friends or family members, and does not apply when a professional or paid photographer is being used.
Engagement Photography
Recently engaged? Blanton House offers countless beautiful locations for engagement portraits, from our historic architecture and balconies to garden pathways, courtyards, and outdoor spaces.
Engagement photography is available whether or not you have booked your wedding at Blanton House.
Engagement Photography: $100 per hour
If you later choose Blanton House for your wedding, ask us about incorporating your engagement session into your wedding experience.
An Exclusive Benefit for Blanton House Brides
There is something special about being a Blanton House Bride.
For that reason, bridal portraits, wedding portraits, and elopement photography at Blanton House are exclusively reserved for couples who have booked their wedding or elopement with us.
We maintain this policy, so that the opportunity to capture your bridal and wedding portraits at Blanton House, remains a special benefit of choosing our estate for your celebration.
Bridal, wedding & elopement photography is not available as a standalone photography rental.
Photographer Mini Sessions
Professional photographers may reserve Blanton House for scheduled mini-session events, including Christmas, Spring, Mother's Day, Fall family, graduation, prom, and other seasonal sessions.
3-Hour Mini Session Block — $300
Up to 6 individual client sessions
5-Hour Mini Session Block — $500
Up to 10 individual client sessions
Mini-session dates must be approved in advance.
Branding & Commercial Photography
Looking for a distinctive location for your business, brand, or creative project?
Blanton House is available for professional branding, content creation, product photography, and select commercial shoots.
Branding & Content Photography — Starting at $125/hour
Commercial Photography — Starting at $150/hour
Please contact us for a custom quote for larger productions, extensive equipment, multiple models, or exclusive use of multiple areas of the estate.
Photography Guidelines
To protect our historic property and ensure a wonderful experience for everyone, all photography visits—both complimentary and paid—must be coordinated with Blanton House in advance.
Photography reservations provide access to approved areas of the property and do not include event setup, dressing-room access, furniture relocation, décor installation, or private-event amenities unless specifically approved.
Children must remain supervised at all times. Please do not climb on architectural features, move furnishings, enter restricted areas, or disturb landscaping.
Glitter, confetti, artificial flower petals, smoke effects, open flames, and similar props are not permitted without prior approval.
Blanton House reserves the right to restrict photography in areas being prepared for an upcoming event or undergoing maintenance.
